Contacts are separated into groups that you, or your IM networks, specify. You may combine them all into one group (named "Contacts") by switching this off.
Set to Show if you would like your offline
contacts to be intermingled with your online contacts.
If you Hide offline contacts you may still find them using the search bar at the top of the contact list. This is the default option.
You may also Group offline contacts into one big "Offline Contacts" group.
Sort Contacts By
By default, contacts are sorted by Name. If you choose to sort by Status you'll see "Online" contacts first, followed by contacts that are set "Away".
You can force Trillian to always display in a portrait orientation by disabling this setting. This is useful if you are typing while lying down or if you are busy with other things during conversations.
When disabled, Trillian's keyboard input will not try to autocorrect as you type, even if you have autocorrect enabled in your iPhone settings.
Ding dong when your contacts sign on or off, even when Trillian is not on the screen.
Sending/receiving message sounds can be disabled by switching this off.
Vibrate on Unseen
Vibrate your phone when you receive a new message that hasn't been seen on one of your other signed on devices.
Vibrate All Messages
Vibrate for every message you receive.
When disabled, Trillian will show a popup text notification for every message you receive.
Push Names Only
This handy privacy feature hides the actual message when showing a text popup notification; you'll see just their username. Tap the "view" button or load Trillian to read the full message.
When Exiting Trillian
Set when you would like Trillian to sign you off. Immediately will sign you off the moment you exit the Trillian app. You may set a time period between 5 minutes and 7 days to remain signed on while you are not using the app.
If you exit the Trillian app but stay signed on, you can enable this option to set your status to Away.
Away message to use if you have the above feature enabled. If left blank, Trillian will automatically set you away with a timestamp, e.g. "Away since 8:20AM (GMT-4)". You may set this to anything you want, e.g. "I'm away from my phone". Trillian will substitute %time% with a timestamp for you were marked away, for example "iPhone pocketed %time%" may turn into "iPhone pocketed 8:20 AM (GMT-4)". If you're signed on to Trillian elsewhere, users may not even see that you're away because those other resources will be online and take precedence.
When enabled, Trillian will create diagnostic logs that are useful for reporting bugs to Trillian's developers. These logs can be sent by signing out and clicking the "About" tab at the bottom of Trillian's sign in screen, where you'll find a button to manage diagnostic logs. Each log will be listed with a date and time. Tapping an entry will send the log to our developers. In most cases we will require the last three logs. If you are comfortable reporting software bugs please review our Bug Reporting Guide for instructions on how to access our Bugzilla. If you submit a bug then please reference the date & time that your debug logs were sent.
