Hi,
All is good with the facebook chat in Trillian excpet for the popup on first login and connection that tells me I'm connected to facebook chat. I have no other issues while chatting with facebook, like the reported chat windows re-opening.

Am i missing a setting? It is really annoying to have to close that window every time on login.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

O.

There is a checkbox on the login that says something to the effect of remember me or keep me logged on. Check that box and it should remember your settings.

    Hi Glen,
Do you mean on Facebook login on their page? If so, that has always been checked. Or do you mean in Trillian? If so, I can't see that setting anywhere.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    O.

It might work to reset the connection entirely. Did you try removing and recreating the Facebook connection (Preferences->Accounts)? You can try this from Trillian first and if it is successful, you're okay.

If you're not successful, try removing it from Trillian and removing access from Facebook (via your browser). To do this, go to Facebook and click the menu in the upper right (down arrow next to "Home") and choose "Account Settings" then "Apps" (from the left). Click the 'x' to remove Trillian. Then restart Trillian and recreate the Facebook connection (Preferences->Accounts). It should prompt you to allow access. Allow access and you should connect.

Please let me know if this did not work.

    Hi Glen,
I removed and re added the Facebook account in Trillian. This seems to have fixed the problem. If it persists I will try your second suggestions. If that fails, I will be in touch. Thanks for your help.
    Cheers,
    Orest

    Hi Glenn,
The problem continues. I have tried both of your suggestions. I have attached a screen cap of the popup I get anytime I open Trillian or disconnect from facebook in trillian. It also seems that even though I disconnect facebook in Trillian it automatically connects on its own again shortly after and again provides the same popup.
    Any help or ideas?
    Thanks,
    Orest

Would you be willing to try our latest beta version to see if the problem is resolved? The download link is: http://www.trillian.im/get/windows/beta/

Please install and let me know if you're still having issues.

    Hi Glenn,
Tried the beta and the same window still pops up. Do you want me to try to remove the facebook account and trillian app in facebook once more and start from scratch now that Ihavethe new beta installed?

Can you upload a screenshot of what you're seeing just to make sure we're thinking of the same screen? Thanks.

Thanks. It looks like the Facebook servers are actually sending you an instant message - I'm not sure why they are doing this, but unfortunately it's not something under our control to change. I'll write this down and see if we can figure out what they are trying to accomplish, as this doesn't seem to be a widespread issue.
