Trillian on Mac OS x 10.6.8 extremely laggy

Good Morning,
I currently use Trillian on my iMac, Macbook Pro and iPhone and love the application and how it syncs.
However, a few months ago the application on my iMac became pretty much unusable. It freezes constantly, has huge delays and is basically very laggy.
As an example I just logged in, was informed of 5 new messages from one person but there was roughly a 10 second delay in trying to scroll up to the top of the new chats. Then because of the delay, you scroll too far, 10 second delay to scroll down again, too far etc.
Any change or movement of any sort results in the spinning disc for a period of time maybe 5 seconds before it happens, getting the contact list to appear takes a number of seconds or it doesn't appear at all (I have it 'hide' off the left of the screen.
I really do like this App and want to continue using it but am unable with the current setup. I have tried reinstalling in case I have settings changed from default. It appears to run fine on my Macbook Pro which is on a slightly older OS.

which version are you using, app store or direct download?

Version 1.2.40.
Not sure if direct download or app.. I think original installation was direct download but current is app.
Yes just checked and from the app store.

Please upgrade to the current 1.3 build in the App Store, as it's newer and has better performance. Hope that helps!
