hii i m using trillian in my blackberry .when i am login too
facebook then it shows screen "an error occured try again" and okk
button
when click to okk button thn facebook mobile is started , wht can i
do for this problem

when I log on to facebook, all I get is a blank screen with the headings listed down the left side of the screen. I cannot get to any messages or anything. Anyone know how to help with this?

What version are you running? Facebook is making changes to their authentication system and you need to be running the latest version of Trillian (1.1.0.41).

Scott, I'm not on Blackberry. Do I need Trillian for my desktop computer also?

Hi. having the same issue with Facebook chat, and I'm using Trillian BB 1.1.0.41. I used the Blackberry "submit feedback" menu option to report the errors. After entering my password, Facebook login widget keeps re-displaying, with no Facebook error message, and occasionally (30% of the time) displaying the "an error occured try again" BB dialog box error message.

A friend help resolve my problem today! I have AT&T as my provide and use Mozilla Firefoxr. The s-static.ak.facebook.com msg at the bottom of the FB page refers to scripts not working. In Firefox, he had me go to control panel, network connections, local area connection properties, click on TCP/IP properties, uncheck "obtain DNS automatically" and change the preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS server to 8.8.4.4. I restarted the browser and Firefox and my facebook was back!
Facebook sure could make this a lot easier by providing a way for people to contact them and ask these questions directly!

I'm on the Bold 9700, running newest version of trillian and can't connect to facebook chat at all. I get the facebook needs your permission to connect, then get facebook connect error.

When is the next update? I'm having delayed message transmission on Facebook, and worse it's not transmitting. I'm not receiving replies from my fb contacts, but when i open my account using desktop browser, there's so many unread messages. Please fix this.

Mark: the update has since been sent out. The bug you are describing is a new bug, and is unfortunately on the Facebook server side. We've contacted Facebook and reported the issue to them, and are hopeful they will resolve it soon. They told us it's due to server upgrades and migration on their side.
Dj Smurf, make sure you are running the latest build for BB?

This problem with the facebook connection (using facebook plugin) started at version 1.1.0.30 and continues until the last update 1.1.0.45. Why you guys don't fix this, or tell about the workaround using the xmpp/jabber plugin ?

Hi Don,
The issue has been covered and to make clear waht is happening I'll try to describe the problem. When using the facebook plugin in trillian for bb it's impossible to connect with fb chat. When trying to connect with fb trillian opens the bb browser on a fb page where you have to logon, after a succesful logon this connection is still not working
I tested this on 2 different bb models, Curve 8520 OS5 and Torch 9800 OS6, with client versions 1.1.0.30, 1.1.0.41 and 1.1.0.45.
When using the workaround with the xmpp/jabber plugin trillian connects with fb and it's possible to chat without any problem.
