Cannot login, "invalid password"
I'm using trillian version 1.2 build 11, on a samsung conquer 4g, android version 2.3.6. I cannot login, it tells me invalid password. I can login to the site, so obviously I know my password, but no matter how many times I try, I just can't get into the app. I've been using trillian on and off since 2001, so it is a great shame that this is happening now.

When you start Trillian on your phone, click the other user icon (the silhouette) and then try logging in from scratch and see if it works for you.

I am having the same problem. I am using Android 4.0.3 on a Sony Tablet S. I have reset my password, and have tried to log in multiple times. I did login to the website just fine from my tablet.

I am having the same problem, and have the same phone, Samsung Conquer 4G. Cannot log in under my own ID or the other (silhouette). How can I reset my password?

Are you able to log in with that account on the web version of Trillian? Go to the Trillian website (http://www.trillian.im) and use the link in the upper right hand corner of the page to see if you can login.

I just tried it, and I am not able to log in on the web version either. It gave me the same error message "invalid password". I even changed my password and tried to login with the new password...same message.."invalid password".

I just had a password reset link emailed to you so try changing it again and let me know if you still can't log in.
Can you open the desktop version of Trillian and get to the Preferences->Devices section? If so, click everything under "Other Devices" and then "Disconnect" them. Restart Trillian and try logging in again with the new password.

Using the silhouette did not work. :( I cannot log into the web version either. I believe I may have changed my password as well (though not positive) and although I can sign into the site, I am unable to sign into web messenger or the app. Thank you for your assistance, any further help would be welcomed.

I can't log on to trillian right now because it's saying my password is incorrect. I did try logging on through http://www.trillian.im/ on my desktop and had no problem.
However, i don't see anything on that page where it says Preferences->Devices in order to disconnect them.
I also can't get to the silhouette now, either. I'm using an iphone.
BTW, i just restarted the phone (just in case) and when I opened trillian ap, it went straight to the "enter password" section. I enter the password and it says "Password incorrect. Please try again."
I tried signing out, I tried everything I could think of. Please help.

Experiencing the same thing on the iPhone 5, did not have any issues with iPhone 4. What gives?

I am unable to log into Trillian on my iPhone4s. I can log into my account on my iPad but on my phone it says "password incorrect". I have changed my password several times and the app works on my iPad but not my iPhone.

Same for me. I can login on the web, I can login on the windows version. But cannot logon the iphone 4. What can I do? Resetting the password does not help.....

I'm having a similar issue. I recently changed both my MSN and Trillian passwords, and when I try to log in on my phone (Android 4.0), it logs in--I see the contacts, then get a message about an invalid Windows Live password--but less than a second later, before I can take any action, it kicks me out saying invalid (Trillian) password. I can log in using the same password both on Windows and on the web. Even my Android tablet works. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application on the phone, no dice.
It feels like it is misinterpreting the MSN password (and where is that being cached, anyway?) as an Astra login failure, even though that had already occurred successfully. Very frustrating.

I can log in thru windows on my laptop...no problem. However, I can't log in on my tablet or my droid. What is the issue?

Actually Don.. you don't since this is a common issue. The actual password is not the issue at all.
I have the exact same issue here using the latest trillian on my Samsung i927 running Android 2.3.5 (no ICS update for it yet dammit)
Therefore since this is obviously not an uncommon issue and it is not limited to only one version of Android or any specific phone is most certainly needs to be addressed.
Oh and btw.. I installed trillian when I 1st got this phone and it worked. However it iad a hardware failure and was repaired. With a full factory reset and since it was returned (yes the same phone.. it only had a bad spot on the solder of the GPU so it was reflowed) trillian is giving this error
Uninstalling.. reinstalling.. deleting the acct etc and redoing it on the phone all fail with the same error.
Now many of us have been very patient to say the least.. but very soon you will start loosing people to other IM clients due to this error and the obvious lack of response to it. (Same as the error for twitter on any of my trillian installs except on my wife's system.)
